Xiaomi 13T arrives with triple Leica cameras, 13T Pro adds 120W charging
The Xiaomi 13T series was announced today at an event in the German capital Berlin. The 13T and 13T Pro smartphones are quite similar to their China-only cousin Redmi K60 Ultra but come with improved camera hardware, and IP68 certification for water and dust resistance, which is a first for the T series.
The Xiaomi 13T is built around a 6.67” OLED display with 144 Hz refresh rate, Full HD+ resolution, and over 2,600 nits peak brightness.
The main camera on the 13T has a 50 MP sensor of 1/1.28” type size with 1.22 μm individual pixels. It has OIS and an f/1.9 aperture in front.
The "portrait" telephoto camera matches the 50 MP sensor resolution and f/1.9 aperture, but has a 50mm equivalent lens. The third cam is a 12 MP ultrawide shooter with 15mm equivalent f/2.2 lens.
You get a choice between the Leica Authentic Look which aims for realistic color reproduction and the Leica Vibrant Look for some extra pop in your shots. The Custom photographic styles from the 13 Ultra are also available in the Pro mode here.
The 20 MP selfie camera is mounted inside a punch hole and lacks autofocus.
The 5,000 mAh battery supports 67W wired charging, which is a downgrade from the 12T’s 120W rate. It promises to take just 42 minutes to go from 0 to 100%.
Xiaomi 13T comes in three colors - Meadow Green and Black have a glass panel on the back, while Alpine Blue has a BioComfort vegan leather finish. Prices start from €650 for the 8/256 GB version.
The triple 50 MP + 50 MP + 12 MP Leica cameras, 20 MP selfie camera and the 5,000 mAh battery are common for the two new phones.
Xiaomi 13T series
The RAM is 12 GB or 16 GB, and here it is the faster LPDDR5X kind, while storage is UFS 4.0 in three options - 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB.
Another major difference is the charging speed - the 13T Pro does 120W HyperCharge, which means 19 minutes is all the phone needs to fill the battery from nil to 100%.
Both the 13T and 13T Pro have dual speakers and support for Dolby Atmos Audio. They boot Android 13 with MIUI 14 on top.
The 13T Pro is offered in the same Green, Black, and Vegan Leather Blue colors. Starting price is €800, but here the base trim is 12/256 GB.
Xiaomi launches Redmi K60 series, Pro version gets Snapdragon 8 Gen 2
Xiaomi held a big event today for its Redmi brand, launching half a dozen new products. The stars of the show were the Redmi K60 lineup, consisting of three new phones - a flagship Redmi K60 Pro with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, a vanilla Redmi K60 with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, and another premium phone called Redmi K60E, powered by the new Dimensity 8200 chipset.
The panel supports a 120 Hz refresh rate, 480 Hz touch sampling rate, HDR10+, and there is a fingerprint scanner underneath the display. Redmi introduced Auto Brightness 2.0, an algorithm learning with time about how the device is used, providing the needed brightness for each process as desired by the user.
Redmi executives were extremely proud to talk about the new camera on stage. The main one on the back is a 50 MP shooter with a Sony IMX800 sensor behind, OIS, and EIS. The company brought improved object recognition for its own AI filters. Also, it said experience and quality would be equal to using a film camera, with obvious improvements in processing speed and development.
The other two cameras are nothing out of the ordinary - an 8 MP ultra-wide shooter with 118 degrees FoV and a 2 MP macro sensor.
Xiaomi has its own Surge P1 charging chip, and it is implemented in the Redmi K60 Pro. The chip takes care of the power distribution for the 5,000 mAh camera and makes sure the 120W fast charging protects the phone as it fills it up from 0 to 100% in 19 minutes.
One major improvement is the wireless charging - it is 30W, and Redmi also introduced a dedicated charging pad that supports the same speed. The phone also brings a VC cooling solution with a total area of 5000 sq. mm.
Xiaomi Redmi K60 Pro
The Redmi K60 Pro has four colors: Green, White, Black, and Champion Performance Edition. The last one is similar to the teal design of the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team, but the partnership is obviously not a thing anymore.
Pricing begins from CNY3,299 ($475/€455) for the 8/128 GB memory version and goes as high as CNY4,599 ($660/€620) if the user decides to go for the 16/512 GB option. Sales will begin on December 31 on Xiaomi China’s website.
The design on the back is also the same, but the camera is 64 MP with OIS, combined with the same 8 MP ultra-wide shooter and 2 MP macro sensor. The front houses the very same 16 MP selfie shooter.
Just like the Pro, the Redmi K60 also has 30W wireless charging. However, the wired fast charging was lowered to 67W, making room for 10% more capacity -the battery is now 5,500 mAh.
Xiaomi Redmi K60
The Redmi K60 is offered in four colors - White, Green, Blue Leather, and Black with Carbon details on the sides. Price begins from CNY2,499 ($360/€335) for the 8/128 GB and can go as high as CNY3,599 ($515/€485) for the most powerful 16/512 GB version. Just like the Pro, this Redmi K60 also launches on December 31 at Xiaomi’s online store in China.
Redmi retained its premium status with the Mediatek chipset and brought the 6.67” AMOLED with 120 Hz refresh rate and 1440p resolution, seen in the other two Redmi K60 phones. The difference here is it is “just” 1,200 nits brightness, “just” 10-bit, instead of 12-bit. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection on top.
The main camera on the back also has OIS but this time comes with a 48 MP sensor. The other two shooters are 8 MP ultra-wide and 2 MP macro sensors. The battery of the Redmi K60E is the same as the Redmi K60 - 5,500 mAh with 67W fast charging but no wireless charging.
Another downgrade this phone took is storage - instead of UFS 4.0, all storage options are UFS 3.1, while RAM was slightly downgraded from LPDDR5X to LPPDR5.

Redmi K60E will be sold in White, Black, and Green colors, with prices starting from CNY2,199 ($315/€295) for 8/128 GB. It is already on sale at Xiaomi China’s website and major third-party retailers.
